Who we are
Dreamcatcher Films is a UK-registered AI film and video production studio. We are the controller of the personal information described here. You can contact us about privacy at Rambo@dreamcatcherfilms.com.
What we collect
- When you email us: your name, email address and whatever you choose to include in your message, such as a project brief or an investment enquiry.
- When you visit the site: our hosting provider automatically records technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, in server logs used to run and secure the site.
This website does not use advertising or analytics cookies, and we do not run tracking pixels.
How we use it and why
- To reply to your enquiry and, if we work together, to scope and deliver your project. Our lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering a contract, or our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries.
- To keep the website secure and working. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in running a reliable website.
We do not sell your personal information or use it for automated decision making.
Who we share it with
We use trusted service providers to run this website and our email: our website host, a cloud storage provider that serves our videos, and Google Fonts, which delivers the typefaces used on the site and receives your IP address when your browser requests them. Some of these providers may process data outside the UK; where they do, they rely on safeguards recognised under UK data protection law.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry emails for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and any project that follows, and for up to six years afterwards where we need records for legal, tax or accounting reasons. Server logs are kept by our host for a short period in line with its own policies.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask for a copy of your personal information, ask us to correct or delete it, object to or restrict how we use it, and ask for it to be transferred. Email us and we will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
